The obverse (front) face of the 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin features an effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, with the coin’s face value, 50 dollars, and the year of issue, 2025, inscribed in an arc below. The obverse also bears a special marking that includes four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins and the double date of her reign.
The reverse of the coin features a designs of Canada’s national symbol, the Maple Leaf, with the words ‘CANADA’ ‘FINE GOLD’ ‘1 OZ OR PUR’, and the gold coin’s purity 9999.
The RCM 2025 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin features three security enhancements - radial lines on both coin faces, a micro-engraved maple leaf displaying the number 22, and the RCM’s proprietary BULLION DNA anti-counterfeiting technology.
