Platinum Bars

BullionStar stocks a wide variety of investment grade platinum bars from the world’s most renowned platinum refineries such as Argor-Heraeus of Switzerland and Hereaus of Germany. These platinum bars are classified as Investment Precious Metals and are exempt from Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Investment platinum bars are generally fabricated as either cast platinum bars which have a classic rugged appearance, or as minted platinum bars which have a high-lustre polished finish. Minted platinum bars are often presented in a secure transparent card which is tamper-proof and which doubles as the platinum bar’s official assay card.

In general, investment-grade platinum bars will normally feature the platinum refinery logo on the platinum bar’s surface, the platinum bar’s weight and purity, and sometimes a design pattern. Some platinum bars will have a unique serial number embossed on the platinum bar itself, other platinum bars display a unique serial number on the bar’s secure presentation pack. 

The purity or fineness of the platinum bars offered by BullionStar is predominantly in the 0.995 range, i.e. the platinum bars contain 99.99% pure platinum. Weight denominations of platinum bars available from BullionStar range from 1 kilogram through to 1 troy ounce down to 1 gram. However, the two most popular platinum bar weights sold to BullionStar customers are 1 kilogram platinum bars and 100 gram platinum bars. The price premiums on larger platinum bars will generally be lower than the price premiums on smaller platinum bars.
